A Hempstead man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly selling vape products to underage agents at a Wantagh smoke shop, according to Nassau County police.

Tamer Ghazali, 23, was taken into custody after underage agents entered Smoke Bazaar on Merrick Road as part of 'Project 21,' an enforcement initiative aimed at preventing the sale of alcohol and tobacco products to minors.

Police said the agents were able to purchase multiple vape products from the store during the operation.

Ghazali was charged with the sale of a restricted product, two counts of selling age-restricted products, and the sale of prohibited flavored products.

He was later released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
