Suffolk police say a 24-year-old man was shot in Mastic early Sunday morning.
Detectives say it happened at around 5:40 a.m. following a dispute a group was having on Squaw Lane close to the Poospatuck Reservation.
Police say the victim was taken to NYU Langone Hospital with serious but injuries that were not life-threatening.
No arrests had been made as of Sunday night.
