Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace is seeking 250 new employees once the Greenvale location in the Wheatley Plaza opens next month.
It says the hiring blitz is part of a broader plan to obtain about 1,000 new team members over the next 12 months.
The Greenvale location is scheduled to open on Aug. 14. Once the store opens, applicants can stop by with a resume and participate in on-the-spot "Speed Hiring" interviews every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those interested should look for the "Speed Hiring" sign.
The company is hiring for a wide range of positions, part-time and full-time, across departments including the deli, meat, seafood, bakery, prepared foods, produce, grocery, cashiering, customer service and management.
Experienced food professionals are particularly encouraged to apply, including bakers, bread makers, cake decorators, butchers, seafood specialists, pizza makers, pasta and mozzarella makers, baristas, chocolatiers and other fresh-food and culinary experts.
It says in addition to benefits, the company offers "a 401(k) with company match for eligible employees, and a 25% employee discount on purchases, select positions, including experienced Deli Specialists, offer pay up to $25 per hour based on experience and qualifications."
A new location in Levittown will also be opening in the fall.
