Expect the clear, comfortable conditions from earlier today to stick around tonight, keeping things quiet and pleasant across the city as you head out to those watch parties. GO KNICKS! On Sunday, that classic summer heat makes a big return to the five boroughs. Temperatures will climb back near or just above 90 degrees, and you'll really notice the humidity slowly building as the day goes on, making it feel even hotter out there. The good news is that most of your Sunday is looking absolutely fine for any outdoor plans. Just stay weather-aware by the evening, sometime after 5 PM, the likelihood of a thunderstorm returns.
Keep in mind that the city could see some of these storms pack a punch, with the potential for damaging winds and heavy rainfall into the night. Once that clears out, a cooler but still wonderfully warm stretch of weather takes shape for the upcoming workweek, bringing our highs comfortably back into the 70s.
