Sunday will feature abundant sunshine, low humidity and warm temperatures, making for an excellent day to spend outdoors.

Afternoon highs will climb into the 80s, with light winds and comfortable conditions throughout the day.

SUMMER-LIKE STRETCH AHEAD

A mainly dry weather pattern is expected to remain in place through much of next week. Sunshine and warm temperatures will dominate the forecast as high pressure remains the primary influence across the Northeast.

Temperatures will gradually warm through the first half of the week, reaching the mid- to upper 80s by Tuesday. Several locations could approach or exceed 90 during the afternoon hours by Wednesday through Friday.

While a slight chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm may arrive late in the week, most communities are expected to remain dry. Overall, the forecast as of Saturday night favors a prolonged stretch of quiet weather with plenty of opportunities to enjoy outdoor activities.

LOOKING AHEAD

The combination of warm temperatures, sunshine and limited rainfall will create a summerlike feel across the Hudson Valley through the end of the workweek. Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and take breaks outdoors during the hottest part of the day as temperatures trend above average.
