A Suffolk County employee is in the hospital after falling twenty feet to the ground on Wednesday morning.
The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. at the Suffolk Police Impound Lot on Old Country Road in Westhampton.
The Department of Public Works employee was standing on scaffolding when it collapsed, causing him to fall to the ground, police say.
The 57-year-old man was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
