A touching retirement ceremony was held at the West Deptford Library as the community said goodbye to a longtime children’s librarian.

Diane Maher is retiring after 26 years.

Maher was at the library so long that some of the kids she used to read to now have kids of their own.

Over time, Maher has been responsible for story time at the library, organizing all the books and making suggestions.

Library staff wrote on Facebook that the goodbye "was full of love, happy memories, hugs and laughter."
