The former president of Adelphi University has been sentenced for a crash in Garden City last year.

As News 12 reported, Christine Riordan, 61, of Garden City, was originally charged with DWI after driving through a metal guardrail and ending up on the Long Island Rail Road tracks at the Nassau Boulevard station in September.

In January, Riordan pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment and criminal mischief, both misdemeanors; the latter eventually being reduced to disorderly conduct, a violation, after she completed several conditions of her plea.

Those conditions include an aggressive driving course, a M.A.D.D. Victim Impact Panel, treatment evaluation, and more than 100 hours of community service.

Restitution to the MTA/LIRR will also continue as a condition of her sentence, which was a total of $140,000 for damage to the railway.

If any of the conditions are not completed, the Nassau DA’s office says they will seek appropriate remedies, including jail time.
