A federal judge says the arrest of a Connecticut teenager by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents was based on erroneous information.
“Rihan” is being held at a detention center in Massachusetts.
In a new court filing, the judge who is overseeing the case says the 19-year-old's immigration paperwork listed the wrong expiration date. But the judge says when the paperwork was corrected, ICE revoked "Rihan's" immigration status anyway.
Since "Rihan" is being held in Massachusetts, a judge there will now decide his fate.
