Grandma arrested for leaving 4-year-old alone in Christopher Morley Park

A 911 caller reported seeing the girl by themselves at the park in North Hills around 2 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

A Nassau County grandmother is accused of leaving her grandchild alone at a park.

Police tell News 12, a 911 caller reported seeing the 4-year-old girl by themselves at Christopher Morley Park in North Hills around 2 p.m. on Monday.

Zhuying Ma, 68, of Roslyn Estates, was arrested after she returned to the park.

Detectives say the woman left her granddaughter alone and went home.

Ma is being charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

The girl was not harmed and was released to a family member.
