In Bradley Beach, the Marine Mammal Stranding Center is caring for its first patient of the year after an injured seal was rescued last week.

The seal was found with blood and foam around its mouth and a large wound on its abdomen.

The center says the animal was taken in, cleaned and fed.

Staff say the seal is being treated for lung worms.

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center says the seal is stable as of this morning.
