Seven people were left displaced by an apartment fire that erupted Saturday in Hempstead, according to authorities.

Around 75 firefighters responded to the scene on Fulton Avenue around 4:45 p.m.

Officials say the flames broke out on the third floor of the building.

The blaze was extinguished within 30 minutes.

One person was hospitalized for minor smoke inhalation.

Authorities say the Red Cross is assisting the displaced individuals.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
