Remembering Liam Gleason: Funeral held for late Siena University men's lacrosse coach

The 41-year-old died Wednesday after he fell down a flight of stairs at his home upstate.

Hundreds were on hand at Siena University Saturday morning for the funeral of men's lacrosse coach and Wading River native Liam Gleason.

The 41-year-old died Wednesday after he fell down a flight of stairs at his home upstate.

Gleason was remembered for his selflessness and loving nature. He won a state lacrosse championship with Shoreham-Wading River High School in 2002.

Gleason had served at the head coach for Siena's men's lacrosse team since 2018.

He leaves behind a wife and three children.
