Police have identified the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Hicksville.

Authorities 45-year-old Orlando Yanes was trying to cross Jerusalem Avenue near Gem Court when an SUV struck him just after 7:30 p.m.

Police told News 12 that the driver remained at the scene.

No other details had been released as of Sunday night.
