Three departments helped extinguish a small brush fire that erupted Saturday night in Lido Beach, according to officials.

Town of Hempstead Supervisor John Ferretti told News 12 that the crews worked quickly and were able to contain the flames within 15 minutes.

"Everyone is safe. There are absolutely no injuries and doesn't appear to be any damages to any of the Town of Hempstead equipment or vehicles,” he said. “It's a testament to our incredible volunteer firemen and fire women."

The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
