The incident happened at a home on Montgomery Boulevard, fire officials say.
The person was trying to repair the deck, around 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon, when it fell.
The victim was airlifted by Nassau police to Nassau University Medical Center.
They are being treated for head trauma.
