An armed Brentwood man was arrested Friday night, accused of acting as a security guard without a license in Huntington Station.

According to Suffolk police, 46-year-old Eric Diaz was carrying weapons outside El Cuscatleco on Broadway.

Detectives say Diaz wore a police-style uniform with a shield and duty belt that appeared to have a holstered firearm.

After further investigation, they say Diaz also had a holstered Taser with an imitation pistol in his waistband along with bear mace, a knife and handcuffs.

Neighbors say they are not surprised to hear about an arrest.

“Cops are here frequently. I’m actually a nurse and I work odd hours, so it’s very difficult to sleep at night. I have a dog that’s terrified all the time,” said Riley Devin, who lives across the street from the bar.
