A man from Queens is charged in a hit-and-run that left a construction worker from The Bronx dead.

Court documents show 25-year-old Daveanand Budhai admitted he was speeding when he ran into 44-year-old Isabel Alvarel on Friday.

The incident happened as she was working on the Van Wick Expressway.

Budhai is facing several charges, including leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, assault and reckless driving.
