After spending five years apart, Paws of War reunited veteran Nick Martucci, of Shirley, with his military partner, Remco.

Remco and Nick were partnered for 14 months in South Korea. In service, Remco was as a patrol explosive dog.

When Martucci left, Remco became depressed and made his boundaries clear.

Now 8 years old, Remco is happily retiring alongside Martucci on Long Island. He says he hopes to give him the retired dog the life he deserves.
