First-grade students at the Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School took a trip to a local pizzeria to learn how to make a perfect pie.

This annual tradition started two years ago when Thomas Prestigiacomo wanted his class to learn about his family's restaurant.

Pompei Restaurant and Pizzeria has been serving up lessons and an educational trip ever since.
