Passengers will need passport, a REAL ID or Enhanced ID to board a domestic flight beginning Wednesday.
As a result, people have been flocking to their local Department of Motor Vehicles.
This DMV in Garden City was so packed Monday, that some say they had to wait up to five hours once inside, and they couldn’t get in without an appointment.
The DMV said it is working to accommodate this rush and is encouraging people to visit its website for tips that can speed up the process of getting the new identification.
If a driver's license does not have a star or flag symbol on it, then it is not a REAL or Enhanced ID.
