A second lawsuit is being filed by the parents of Drew Hassenbein against a convicted drunk driver, his father and three Plainview restaurants.
The Hassenbein’s lawsuit also names Amandeep Singh’s friend as partly to blame for the crash that killed their son and Ethan Falkowitz.
It says Singh’s friend encouraged him to keep drinking the night of the crash. Falkowitz’s parents filed a similar lawsuit last week.
The suit also acknowledges Iavarone Italian Kitchen and Pizza, The Shed and Social Play Haus grossly over-served Singh alcohol.
Falkowitz and Hasseinbein were coming home from a tennis match celebration in 2023 when Singh struck the car they were in.
Singh was sentenced to up to 25 years in prison.
