Families in the Village of Hempstead are standing up against gun violence in their community.

They took part in a community event hosted by SNUG (Should Never Use Guns). The program is dedicated to helping young people and families in the community break the cycle of gun violence.

“We are having kids that are really involved in gun violence – whether they are victims or perpetuating that violence. We had some young teenagers die recently from gun violence. We want to promote as much awareness as possible," explained Nicole Allen, of SNUG.
