The Billy Moon Foundation hosted its first "Spring Gala" Wednesday night at the Heritage Club in Bethpage.
The foundation raises money to provide support and awareness for organ donation.
Moon died in a training accident in December 2022.
He saved five lives by donating his heart, liver, lungs and kidneys.
The gala raised more than $50,000 and will go toward supporting 50 families throughout this year.
