The LGBT Network wants to make sure the LGBTQ+ community has more seats at the table.

That's why it is launching a campaign training academy this month to give first-time candidates the tools and resources needed to run for local school boards, library boards and local government.

More than a dozen people have already signed up for the academy, which is free and open to members of any political party.
