Emma Phillips is this week's Scholar Athlete.

She's a captain of the Hauppauge-Smithtown swimming team and helped the Bulls win three straight undefeated county championships.

Phillips is a five-time county finalist in the sprint races with all-league honors, is vice president of the quiz bowl team and secretary of the student organ donation advocates.

She's been honored by the Long Island Science Congress and plays the violin.
