A Levittown woman previously accused of assaulting a Nassau County detective has won a $2 million lawsuit against the police department, according to her attorney.

Donna Cipley faced allegations of hitting a detective with a door and injuring his hand in 2019. Those charges have since been dropped.

Her lawsuit claimed that she was falsely arrested and sought damages from two detectives.

A jury ruled in her favor and awarded her the money on Friday.
