The revitalization of Ronkonkoma continues.

Station Yards, a massive residential and commercial redevelopment project across the street from the train station, entered the next phase Tuesday, opening a new area of housing units and retail space, while breaking ground on the next construction project which will add even more.

Gov. Kathy Hochul, Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine and other elected officials joined with developers to celebrate with a ribbon-cutting event, as speakers touted the success of the project.

They also stated their continued efforts to create housing and jobs that will keep young people from leaving Long Island.

The latest construction phase of Station Yards is expected to be complete in 2026.
