Two adults and a child were injured Tuesday following a dog attack in Hicksville, Nassau County police say.

Officers responded to reports of a dog bite on Lantern Road at 12:20 p.m. They observed two dogs that were involved, along with two adult female victims and one juvenile female victim.

The young female was airlifted to Cohen Children's Medical Center for treatment of facial injuries. Neighbors and a source familiar with the incident say the child is 11 years old.

The two adults were transported to the hospital for treatment of leg injuries.

The dogs were removed from the home by Town of Oyster Bay Animal Control.
