Authorities say a fatal house fire Sunday in the Town of Kent was likely accidental.

The blaze broke out around 5:30 a.m. at a residence on Marion Way.

Police confirmed a 72-year-old man died in the fire. His name has not been released.

Two residents were injured, with one hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries and another treated and released.

The exact cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
