The T20 Cricket World Cup starts this weekend, and businesses near the Eisenhower Park stadium are hoping to cash in.

Jim Roggio, the owner of Burger City in East Meadow, hopes some cricket fans will want to sink their teeth into some tasty American comfort food.
“I’d like to show the people from the other countries some hospitality,” Roggio said.
About a half mile down Hempstead Turnpike, Naveed Haroon is also anticipating big crowds at his two businesses, Spice & Curry Kabab & Grill and La Carraia Gelateria.
Haroon said, “The businesses will definitely boom, get more revenue, more customers. I think it will be very successful for everybody.”
Both business owners tell News 12 they are increasing inventory ahead of the event.
