Dozens of Nassau County Girl Scouts were given a tour Friday of the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research in Manhasset.

They got to see lab demonstrations, explore different categories of research and speak to workers about their experiences.

Studies show that girls that are exposed to activities in science, technology, engineering and math are more likely to be interested in those fields in the future.
