Police: Freeport man was drunk when he refused to leave restaurant, injured officer

Police say Joshua Vallejo also faces charges for a separate active warrant from an incident that occurred on Sept. 7 of last year.

Police say a Freeport man injured an officer after causing a scene Friday night in an East Meadow restaurant.

Authorities say Joshua Vallejo was drunk and refused to leave the Qdoba on Hempstead Turnpike.

Vallejo became aggressive and injured an officer's knee, according to detectives.

Vallejo was charged with assault in the second degree and obstructing governmental administration.

Police say he also faces charges for a separate active warrant from an incident that occurred on Sept. 7 of last year.
