A total of three people were arrested, including 38-year-old Patrick O’Connor and his 19-year-old son, James O’Connor. Patrick lost a portion of his nose in the melee.

A third defendant is a 16-year-old boy.

All three are citizens of the United Kingdom or Ireland, prosecutors say.

The dispute between distant cousins started at traffic court. There was a car chase, followed by a crash and the fight.

Brawlers were seen throwing punches and swinging sticks, which officials say were pickaxe handles.

Authorities say James O’Connor used a pickup truck to ram a vehicle being driven by his relatives. At the time, officials say his 4 and 12-year-old siblings were in his vehicle without car seats.

All three suspects are being held on $50,000 cash bail.

Two people were hospitalized.
