A suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in the stabbings of three people Sunday in a Mott Haven apartment.

Police say Jayden Rivera, 19, has been arrested. Sources say the case appears to be domestic in nature.

Family members of the victims have been speculating since the tragedy that another family member was involved. Sources confirm that the man arrested, Jayden Rivera, appears to be the son of one of the victims.

Police found Jonathan Rivera, 38, his partner Hanoi Peralta, 33, and their 5-year-old son Kayden stabbed to death early Sunday morning.

Police say Jayden has been charged with the murder, intention to murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

The community continues to mourn the loss of a family they say was a good family in the community.

"They was a good family, they didn't bother anybody all the time i see them," said Neighborhood Grocery owner Dahan Ali. "They was a very good family, very good people."

Jayden is still in the hospital. He'll be taken into custody after he's released.
