Diocese of Rockville Centre’s ‘final offer’ to survivors of clergy abuse totals $200 million

The group SNAP, Survivors Network of those Abused by Priest, released a statement saying in part that it is disappointed that the Diocese of Rockville Centre has not made any progress in what they call their final settlement offer.

The Diocese of Rockville Centres says it is making its “best and final offer” to survivors of childhood clergy abuse.

Survivors would receive at least $100,000, according to the new plan filed Tuesday. It is offering $200 million in total to survivors.

In January, the committee that represents all survivors had suggested a $450 million payout.
