The Smithtown Central School District is being hit with a $6 million lawsuit over allegations of bullying.

The lawsuit claims a 16-year-old student at Smithtown West High School was bullied there for years. At least one incident between the teenager and other girls got physical and was recorded, then shared online, according to the lawsuit.

The superintendent told News 12 that the district does not comment on pending litigation.
