Police say a man has been arrested and is accused of trying to rob a 71-year-old man in Hicksville.

According to police, the man was walking on Jonathan Avenue last month when 20-year-old Henry Romero pointed a gun at him and demanded money.

When he said he had no cash, Romero allegedly hit him in the head multiple times.

Police found Romero, of Hicksville, and arrested him.

Romero is facing assault and attempted robbery charges.
