Pop music icon and Lindenhurst native Pat Benatar will perform at a concert this weekend that will benefit the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.

It's her unmistakable voice and tough grit that makes Benatar one of the most celebrated and cherished music stars of the 1980s.

Benatar, a Rock and Roll Music and Long Island Hall of Fame inductee, earned four Grammy Awards, three gold albums and 19 Top 40 singles like "We Belong" and "Heartbreaker."

She will bring her talents to the Catholic Health Ampitheater at Bald Hill In Farmingville on Sunday night, performing alongside her husband Neil Geraldo and another special singer/songwriter from Long Island – Baldwin native Taylor Dayne.

Benatar says much of her success can be attributed to her Long Island roots.

"Everything that I am is because of [Long Island], you know what I mean?" she says. "We were pretty much working-class poor. My father was a laborer, my mother was a hairdresser...but we had the greatest childhood."

Benatar promises a "one of kind" show with some fun surprises. Concert showtime will be at 7:30 p.m. For tickets to the show, follow this link.
