Police rescue man, dog from marsh in Point Lookout

Nassau police say they received a call Saturday night about a 25-foot boat that ran aground in Sea Dog Creek near Reynolds Channel.

Police say a man and his dog were rescued from the water in Point Lookout on Saturday.

Nassau police say they received a call Saturday night about a 25-foot boat that ran aground in Sea Dog Creek near Reynolds Channel.

When the Marine Bureau got to the scene, they found a man and his dog stuck in the marsh.

Officers were able to rescue the boater and his dog Lola and tow the boat to a nearby Marina.

Both the man and dog were not hurt.
