A copy of a disturbing letter Brian Laundrie’s mother allegedly wrote to her son is now in the hands of Gabby Petito's parents.

Attorneys argued whether it's relevant in the Petitos civil lawsuit for emotional distress against the Laundries.

The letter reportedly includes references to getting a shovel and burying a body and the envelope it was in said "burn after reading."

The letter was recovered from Laundrie's backpack when his remains were found in October 2021.

The lawsuit says the Laundries refused to answer the Petitos calls while Gabby was missing. The Laundries argue in court filings they had no duty to the family.

Brian Laundrie confessed in a notebook he was responsible for Gabby's death before he took his own life.
