News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Samantha Augeri says it will be mostly sunny Friday with rain coming for the weekend.

WHAT'S NEW: Drought monitor updated and Long Island is still abnormally dry.

WHAT'S NEXT: Dry through Friday with showers on Saturday. Best chance for rain is through the morning into the afternoon. Showers will end by Sunday morning with increasing sunshine. A nice, sunny stretch is setting up for next week with seasonable temperatures.
