East Islip HS classes to resume Tuesday following evacuation
Classes are set to resume at East Islip High School Tuesday after an evacuation Monday. The fire department was called to the school around 8:30 a.m. after someone smelled natural gas. National Grid found a leak in the boiler valve. Students were sent home for the day just after 9:30 a.m.
