Police say two men are wanted for different violent attempted robberies in Nassau that occurred Wednesday within 40 minutes of each other.
Police released pictures of one of the suspects who approached a man in the parking lot of TD Bank on Stewart Avenue in Bethpage around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The men asked the victim to use his cellphone charger and when he refused, police say the men hit in the eye. He was then hit several more times as he sat in his car. The suspects then took off.
The victim, a 28-year-old man, was treated at the hospital for his injuries.
Then just 40 minutes later, police say the same two men approached another man near Best Buy on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown.
Officers say the men asked the 67-year-old man for some money, which he gave them. However, when they asked for more and the victim said he didn't have any police say the suspects punched him in the face and threw him to the ground. Both suspects then took off.
Shoppers say they are being more cautious while going into stores.
"I don't come at night, and if my daughter is coming, I come with her because it is scary a little bit these days," says Barbara O'Brien, of Seaford.
There is no word on the victims' conditions.
