? Police were on patrol at two Suffolk high schools Tuesday in response to separate threats. West Islip High School students were evacuated at 12:05 p.m. after school officials said a note was found stating a bomb was going to detonate. After an investigation revealed no danger, police determined it was safe for students to return to class at 12:50 p.m. Separately, after-school activities were canceled at Lindenhurst High School Monday and Tuesday in response to a threatening drawing found at the school weeks ago. District officials say the drawing indicated a threat against the school principal and the date May 13. A letter was sent home notifying parents of the drawing. The school superintendent says the response plan was put into effect immediately after the threatening drawing was found. District officials say the student responsible was found, but that it was too late to cancel the emergency plans they had made.
