Police say two people were injured after gunfire erupted in Downtown Brooklyn.

Shots rang out at Fulton Street and Jay Street around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the left leg and grazed by a bullet on his left elbow, while an 18-year-old woman was shot in the right leg, according to the NYPD.

EMS took both victims to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where they are expected to recover.
