9ds agoNews 12's Kevin Maher surprised some of the most recent News 12 scholar athletes with an additional scholarship.
During the school year, News 12 and Bethpage Federal Credit Union teamed up to honor 30 scholar athletes. Each athlete received $1,000.
Two students are now receiving the Bob Wolff Memorial Scholarship totaling $2,000 each.
The award is named after the first News 12 sportscaster, the man who created this award.
News 12 went to West Babylon to honor volleyball captain, dance captain and violin player Jordyn Hickey. In Atlantic Beach, News 12 surprised Lawrence Woodmere Academy soccer MVP and basketball MVP Ian Geraghty.
Hickey and Geraghty both had GPAs in the 90s.
