Long Island has learned two additional Catholic schools will be shutting their
doors due to the pandemic.
St. Thomas
the Apostle School in West Hempstead and St. Raymond School in East Rockaway
will be closing their doors in June.
The Diocese of Rockville Centre says the impact of the
crisis on families and communities has placed significant burdens on the
already-struggling schools.
The
schools are the fourth and fifth Catholic schools to close this year.
