Two mothers have opened a bookstore in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport.
Emily Welch and Meagan Flynn are the proud owners of Black Rock Books.
For a few years, the idea to open a bookstore only existed in Flynn’s imagination.
“As a joke, my brother-in-law made me a logo for my fake bookstore,” said Flynn. “Emily was like, you should just open this bookstore."
Since opening their store, the two mothers say the business has been well-received by the community.
“There is so much excitement-- so much support from the neighborhood,” said Welch.
