Police say two African immigrants were killed execution style inside a Woodbury condo owned by former Jets player Jonathan Vilma last week.
Authorities don?t believe Vilma, who now plays for the New Orleans Saints, was involved in the incident and was not home at the time.
Sekou Sakor and Ansu Keita, both originally from Liberia, were killed Thursday night, police say, possibly because of an Internet money scam. Their bodies were later found dumped in Brooklyn and Queens.
According to the NYPD, the scam involved sending people e-mails saying they can get $100 bills smuggled from overseas stained black to avoid detection, if they buy a special chemical to wipe it off. The material sent to the victims of the con, police say, turns out to be worthless.
Many who live in the Eagle Chase condo development say they?re concerned with how the killers were able to get in and out of the home without detection. Police say various members of Vilmas' family had access to the condo.
